Dzamil Kamanger (b. 1948, Iran) uses traditional handicraft techniques in his works, but the themes move within current affairs and questions regarding identity and humanity. A central part of his works are the refugees and the feeling of otherness – both experienced through personal history. The aesthetics also play an important role. Both the embroidered and the beaded works are like small treasures.
