Pasi Soukkala (b. 1963) uses pencil and oil paint chalks to create detailed worlds where familiar animal characters, plants and symbols form a beautiful surface. Often, his works also have a dimension that carries a story. The trace of Soukkala´s drawing is unique and is based on the steady rhythm of the line. Small surfaces are like mosaic. Soukkala is one of the most unique Finnish artists that work by drawing.
